  1. I've uploaded images and a trailer for my film. When will it appear on my page?

Images should appear on your film's page automatically. Trailers must be verified by someone on our staff and are usually posted by the next business day.

  2. How can I make changes to the information on my film's page, such as the synopsis, cast & crew, and official site link?

Changes to text and information must be made by B-Side or festival staff. Please send the information you would like posted to filmmaker-support@bside.com, along with the title of your film and the festival it is playing at.

Please note that some festivals opt to 'lock' their synopses. If that is the case with your festival, synopsis changes must be approved by the organizers before being posted.

  3. Are you able to transfer information from one festival to the other? Will Ratings and Reviews transfer?

Yes, we are able to transfer information & media collateral between festivals. However, due to the fact that each festival has its own database and unique ratings and reviews, B-Side is unable to transfer reviews and ratings between festivals.

  4. I would like to create a blog. What do I need to do?

You can use Google's Blogger service to create a blog for free. Here is a quick introduction to the Blogger tool:
    http://www.blogger.com/tour_start.g

If you create a blog (or already have one), please email the URL to filmmaker-support@bside.com, along with the title of your film & the festival it's screening at.

  5. What is the maximum file size for a trailer we are uploading?

We ask that trailers be no more than 200 mb. Please keep in mind that any trailer file may take a few minutes to upload, and it is recommended that you resize a trailer to 426x240 pixels before uploading for maximum viewing quality on the site. Specific guidelines are here:

  6. How do I upload an image or trailer?

Here is a link to the Filmmaker Administration tool which can be used to upload images & trailers:
    http://maint.bside.com/

Keep in mind that the upload tool is separate from the main (public) festival site and your individual profile. Please review the specifications on images prior to uploading. The information is located at: http://maint.bside.com/help.html

  7. I want my film's images to be reordered on the site. What do I need to do?

A member of the B-Side staff will be able to manually make these changes for you. We ask that you send a request to filmmaker-support@bside.com providing both a description of each image and the order you would like it to be viewed. B-Side must be provided with an accurate description of each image in order to complete this request promptly.

  8. I uploaded a trailer to my film's page. I can hear the audio, but there is no picture. I can't see the video for other films' trailers, either.
