- I uploaded a trailer to my film's page. I can hear the audio, but there is no picture. I can't see the video for other film's trailers, either.
Images take a few hours to process and should appear on your film's page automatically. Trailers must be verified by someone on our staff and can take up to a day to appear on your film's page. Text changes (such as blog additions, synopses, cast & crew, etc) are made manually by B-Side staff and are typically completed within 24 hours of a business day.
Changes to text and information must be made by B-Side or festival staff. Please send the information you would like posted to filmmaker-support@bside.com, along with the title of your film and the festival it is playing at.
Please note that some festivals opt to 'lock' their synopses. If that is the case with your festival, synopsis changes must be approved by the organizers before being posted.
Yes, we are able to transfer information between festivals. B-Side does transfer information & collateral from one festival site to another, to ensure that each page is as rich in content as the other. However, due to the fact that each festival has its own database and unique ratings and reviews, B-Side is unable to transfer reviews and ratings between festivals.
Below are the instructions for creating a blog:

If you create a blog, or already have one, please send B-Side the URL and this information can be posted.
We ask that trailers be no more than 200 mb. Please keep in mind that any file over 2 mb may take a few minutes to upload, and it is recommended that you resize a trailer to 426x240 pixels before uploading for maximum viewing quality on the site. Specific guidelines are here:

Below is the tool location for uploading an image:
http://filmmakers.bside.com/
Keep in mind that the upload tool is completely separate from the festival site and your individual profile. Please review the specifications on images prior to uploading. The information is located at: http://www.bside.com/about/festivals/filmmaker_instructions/

Festival directories are created by B-Side staff and should appear automatically when you login to the uploading tool. If your festival isn't listed among the directories upon logging in, it's likely that you used the wrong username and password combination. Please make sure you use the following login combination:
Username: festival
Password: festival123
If that doesn't do the trick, please email filmmaker-support@bside.com with the name of the festival, the title of your film and a description of the problem you're having.
If you receive an error message along the lines of 'Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /denied/festival/filmtitle on this server,' it's possible you created a file named after your film instead of a folder.
The top right part of the uploading tool has a dropdown menu that says 'File.' You can change that
to 'Directory,' type your film’s title in the box next to it, and click on 'Create' and that should do the trick.
Here is a 5-minute video walkthrough of the process:

Please note: if you created a file already, you may need to delete it before creating a directory with the same name. To do this, check the box next to the file that needs to be deleted and click the 'X' button at the top of the page.
If you're still unable to upload, please email filmmaker-support@bside.com with the name of the festival, the title of your film and a description of the problem you're having.
A member of the B-Side staff will be able to manually make these changes for you. We ask that you send a request to B-Side providing both a description of each image and the order you would like it to be viewed. B-Side must be provided with an accurate description of each image in order to complete this request promptly. Thanks!
