Upcoming Fests – DocuWeeks, HollyShorts, plus more

The International Documentary Association hosts DocuWeeks, starting July 31st and going on until August 20th. Spanning multiple weeks and representing both coasts, DocuWeeks presents a public exhibition of outstanding new films. This Theatrical Documentary Showcase helps to qualify feature and short documentaries for Academy Award® consideration. The festivals were created in 1997 and to date have qualified 165 films, garnering 15 Academy Award® nominations and 6 awards. Come see these great showcases of fantastic new documentaries at the Arclight in Hollywood or the IFC Center in New York.

HollyShorts Film Festival (August 6-13): An annual film festival presenting the best and brightest short films from around the globe, HollyShorts is devoted to advancing and assisting filmmakers through screenings, question & answer sessions, and networking events.
